Gregory McAloon, an associate with Tripp Scott, focuses his practice in the areas of land use, governmental affairs, commercial real estate, and entrepreneurial business. 

McAloon routinely represents developers and landowners before state and local governing bodies to obtain necessary approvals for the development and redevelopment of property.  Relevant experience includes assisting in the development and approval of: marinas; residential apartments and condominiums; commercial condominiums; hotels; automobile fueling stations; convenience stores; and liquor stores.  McAloon also assists clients in obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals with licensing agencies to obtain licenses for certain regulated industries, including for the sale of alcoholic beverages. 

McAloon has extensive experience in aiding commercial and residential land owners to bring their property into compliance with the applicable code and obtaining lien reductions for clients once their property maintains compliance.  Furthermore, McAloon has knowledge and experience in real estate closings and formation of special purpose entities.

McAloon worked as an extern within the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida, gaining valuable experience and knowledge assisting the magistrate judge in analyzing habeas corpus petitions.  Additionally, McAloon served as a law clerk within the Florida Senate for the Judiciary Committee.  While working for the Florida Senate, McAloon authored Bill Analysis and Fiscal Impact Statements whereby he provided an analysis of certain bills which passed through the committee and outlined the effect and impact of the proposed bills. 

McAloon has a strong dedication to his local communities.  He served as a mentor for the Donald J. Weidner Summer for Undergraduate program at Florida State University College of Law.  Furthermore, McAloon contributed to Legal Services of North Florida and Leon County Teen Court.  Currently, McAloon is actively involved in the Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce and Broward County Bar Young Lawyers Association.

McAloon holds his law degree from Florida State University College of Law.  Prior to attending law school, McAloon graduated from the University of Central Florida with a major in Legal Studies and a minor in International and Global Studies.
